Work, work, work

I spend most of my days trying to figure out how to get weird shit like this for our show:

Sometimes it works out.
Sometimes it doesn't.

Sadly, the item in the photo above seems to be falling into the "doesn't" category.

UPDATE: Holy shit...I might be able to pull this off. Sometimes I amaze myself.

Lisa Hannigan

Just recently discovered the music of Lisa Hannigan. It's pretty much amazing.

7 days on the road with Fantasy Factory

We took the show on the road this past week and it was an INSANE 7 days. I can't really tell you what all went down (other then the video posted below), but here's a few photos of what went on behind the scenes!

Jeff Tremaine's whiskey drinking face

Transporting Gentle Neill to the next bar

Andy bought me a dew rag at a gas station

Gentle Neill and Big Reno!! Reno's gonna make the beats and I'm gonna take them to the streets!

The three of us hit Vegas pretty hard this night

The view from inside the VIP section at Rain Nightclub in Vegas

Travis is superhuman

I'd say we each had about 5 or 6 drinks by this point

This is what it looks like when you're in a club at 4am after working a 12 hour day and helping organize/performing at a show in front of about 5,000 people. Plus there were fireballs being shot off on the roof above our heads.

Go see the movie Street Dreams. Then send the kudos to this guy. Jason is awesome.

D-D-D-Drama Beats

Watching TRV$/DJAM from the VIP section at Rain in Las Vegas

They put on one of the best shows I've seen in a LONG time

I took lots of other pictures while on the trip, but unfortunately can't show you any of them right now (because they'll give away some of what we filmed). But as the airing of the episodes gets a bit closer, I'll start putting them up.

Bobby's back!!!

Yes, that's Travis Barker.
Yes, this happened in front of about 5,000 people.
Yes, I was involved in making it happen.
:)

Hello!!!!

I'm typing from a computer in a Sheraton in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina right now. We're out here filming for our show for the next couple days. There's not any pictures that I can show right now, or stories that I'm really allowed to tell...but I will say that it has been an AMAZING trip!! It's almost at the "Is this real or am I dreaming?" level right now.

Possibly pictures to come...we'll see!

Last Night's Show

Went to The Echo last night to check out the band Kissing Cousins and they were absolutely fantastic!!! You guys should check them out! They kind of reminded me of a band that would be playing in a bar scene during a Grindhouse movie from the 70's, which is awesome.

I was also SUPER impressed with a couple of the other bands that played last night as well!

Check out The Monolators:

And French Miami (this is a clip from when they played SXSW. It gives you an idea of how awesome they are live):

Award Shows!!!!

My friends Mary and Richie were both nominated for an Emmy for their work on Project Runway!!!! Send your good vibes their direction because they're both awesome and deserve to win!!!!

Congrats guys!!!!!!

And speaking of awards, have you voted for Fantasy Factory as best Reality Show for the Teen Choice Awards yet? If not, DO IT NOW!!!! Click HERE.

You can vote more then once, so feel free to vote every day until the awards :)

Cold Blooded

I must be part reptile.
As the temperature rises,
my heart rate increases.
Awesome in theory.
Annoying in reality.

Julie & Julia

Last night I attended a special screening of the film Julie & Julia and it was FANTASTIC!!!! Meryl Streep is brilliant and the film was hilarious and adorable. It hits theaters August 7, so be sure to see it!!!

Rural Alberta Advantage

Going to see the Rural Alberta Advantage tonight. Should be fun!!!!!

The news is becoming very questionable

Saw this yesterday. There was about 5 minutes worth of a cat crawling on a weatherman's back. Seriously? With all that's going on in the world right now....5 minutes of a back climbing cat? What happened to the media?

Advice for kids...

Don't play sports.

And definitely don't be good at sports.

Look at me...I was an elite soccer player. Many said one of the best in my position in the western U.S.

I won virtually every award possible.

Had articles and news stories done about me.

You know what I'm left with?...scars and limbs that don't work properly.

I re-strained a knee that I injured almost a decade ago and have been limping for almost 2 weeks now.

It should be noted that I re-strained it by doing absolutely nothing other then standing in stilts for 2 hours (don't ask, long story).

So I recommend sticking to safer activities...like art classes or guitar lessons.

You'll thank me when your not crippled at 26 like I am

Death Cab for Cutie finale

The finale for Death Cab for Cutie last night was AMAZING!!!!! Check it out!!!

Tegan & Sara were obviously fantastic as well!!

Healamonster & Tarsier

My friend Rona is in an awesome band. Check out Healamonster & Tarsier

I'm seeing all of these people perform tonight

It's going to be awesome.

And Death Cab For Cutie is playing with a full orchestra. Rad!

Happy Birthday America

While the rest of the country was having Barbecues and beach parties, I spent my 4th of July at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery, where they were screening Jaws...which ended with a MASSIVE Michael Jackson dance party. Imagine hundreds of people dancing in a cemetery to Thriller...yes, I was there for that and yes, it was amazing.

Then I went to the super exclusive club MyHouse to celebrate Rob's birthday.

Sharks, fireworks, graves, Michael Jackson, VIP section, open bar, paparazzi....I win for best 4th of July.

New Miss Derringer video

Miss Derringer just released the music video for their song Click Click (Bang Bang). They're fantastic, their music is fantastic, and this video is pretty fantastic. And hello to Irene (the bad ass with the cake) who does my hair at Hairroin Salon.

Also, check out the art of Liz McGrath (who is probably one of the greatest artists of this generation thus far).
